Teacher Feature: Mrs. Kohl
This year, Bay Farm has had a host of new teachers, from new principal Mrs. Crawford to the new P.E. teacher, Mrs. Rabel. But this teacher feature is about a teacher who wasn’t even teaching at the beginning of the year. Mrs. Kohl came to Bay Farm as a long term substitute, but has taken the job of being our new science teacher. Because of how new she is, we took this opportunity to learn a few things about her.
Q: What is your favorite part of teaching?
A: My favorite part of teaching is seeing that a struggling student finally gets a concept and you can see them go “Ohh.”
Q: And your least favorite part of teaching?
A: Grading.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Bay Farm?
A: I love the diversity.
Q: How long have you been teaching?
A: I was teaching for 19 years and then I retired. That means this is my 20th year.
Q: Why did you choose to teach science in particular?
A: For one, I love science, and I also think scientific knowledge is important to have right now.
Q: What is your favorite pizza topping?
A: I only eat one kind of pizza: pepperoni.
