On October 30 students from K-8th grades submitted pumpkins into the Bay Farm annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, organized by the Bay Farm student council. The Student Leadership team then met during lunch that day to vote for the best pumpkins. The competitors were divided into three categories: Kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3rd grade through 5th grade, and 6th grade through 8th grade.

The winners in grades K-2 were Olivia Myovich, 2nd grade, in third place for “Pupkin,” Fiona Kaney in second place for “Apple Core Pumpkin” and Evan H. in first place for “Giant Hamburger” pumpkin.

In the 3rd-5th grade category, the winners were Kira Hannigan in third place for her “Pineapple Pumpkin,” Iskra Micovic for “Pilot Snoopy Pumpkin,” and in first place was Sidney Sumrock for the “Captain Jack Pumpkin.”

Middle school winners Isabella Bazo, Jenna Kwong and Hanna Kwon took third place with their “We Bare Bears” pumpkin, while the sibling team Darren and Lani Heng took second place with the “Death’s Willow” pumpkin. The first place winner from middle school was Chau Doan for the “Fancy Monster” pumpkin.
