Dolphin Tail staffers and their advisors visited The Oakland Tribune in May. Senior Editor Martin Reynolds and investigative reporter Thomas Peele took the time to talk to the middle school journalists about what it takes to research news stories, and about the future of communications and the newspaper industry. The after-school trip followed another guest talk in April by AUSD General Counsel Chad Pimentel on media law and student journalists’ rights.
