Lady Dolphins take championship — again!

By staff writers Justin Wong and Peter Brady
Bay Farm’s Lady Dolphins won the citywide basketball championship. The win is Bay Farm’s second consecutive girls basketball championship, in the first two years the school has had a team.
The championship game was against the Encinal Junior Jets at the Navy Base Gym. Although it was a nail-biter of a game, Bay Farm came out victorious. The team ended its season with only one loss.
The championship game was crowded with people cheering for their teams. The game got off to a quick start, with both teams were focused and ready to win. Bay Farm took the early lead; Lincoln wasn’t out of the race though, playing well throughout the game. In the end, it was close but Bay Farm pulled away and won 36-31.
Bay Farm fans were excited and happy, especially the team and Coach Moira Hester. Before celebrating, the Lady Dolphins congratulated Lincoln’s great effort and wished them luck for next year. Coach Hester took the trophy, and the team passed it around, finally gathering around the trophy to take a photo.
The Lady Dolphins had a great second season, winning a second 1st place trophy and a smile on their faces.
